I find when the boat is turtled the boom sticks out to windward in the water. I stand on it, then step onto the gunnel and then onto the bottom of the boat in front of the centreboard. This also helps to start the righting process, Usually the boat will have started to come up due to the weight on the windward edge, so you can then get onto the leeward side of the centreboard, and bring the boat up.
If the boat swings into the wind as it comes up, and want to tip over again, hold onto the centreboard as it goes under and twist to the other side of the centreboard, so as it comes up you are on the top side of board. Most times the boat will not go all the way over again as your body has slowed it down
