The International OK Dinghy class has consigned its class history to print in a fantastic illustrated book, Completely OK - the history, techniques and sailors of the OK Dinghy. The class celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2007 and the book was commissioned to encapsulate a class that has had a major impact on generations of sailors in more than 40 nations.
"Completely OK" is available in Australia from the National Association. Full details are available via our Home page on this website. Click on the "Completely OK" icon to open up the link for purchasing details. The normal purchase price of the book in the UK is GBP20.00 and we are selling the book in Australia at AUD50.00 + postage where applicable of AUD10.00.
In 2008, 508 copies of "Completely OK" were sold via the OK Dinghy community throughout the World. Over 100 copies have been sold in Australia. OKDIA's initial costs have been fully covered and future sales will provide a valuable source of income for our Associations.
Members of our Association are encouraged to assist with the promotion of sales of the book to the general sailing public. Your active support in introducing "Completely OK" to the members of your clubs, friends and associates would be appreciated.
Any enquiries re "Completely OK" can be directed to me at; bjtyler2007@optusnet.com.au

Fellow Members,
Here is a good idea to assist you with introducing the OK Dinghy to younger members at your club.
Our summer season for 2008/09 is almost over. Clubs will now be busy organising their presentation functions over the next month or so. An opportunity exists to promote our activities to your fellow club members and their families by offering copies of "Completely OK" to your club's executive officers as awards for successful younger members.
Purchasing suitable trophies/prizes for club awards functions can sometimes be difficult and time consuming for club volunteers. You can assist them by suggesting the purchase of "Completely OK" for awards for the younger members of your club. Any request for a bulk purchase of 3 or more copies can be processed immediately and delivered free to your club by return parcel post.
Please contact me for further details if necessary or orders may be processed direct by clicking on the "Completely OK" icon on our website home page.

Cheers, Bill.

See updated message on our website homepage today under the "Completely OK" icon.
Due to more favourable currency exchange rates we have now been able to reduce the price of this book for our members to $40.00 plus $10.00 postage if this is required to get the book to you.
Ask the Committee of your State OK Association to organise a copy of the book for you if you would prefer to collect it locally.
Members are encouraged to consider a bulk purchase of up to 3 books at a time as it is possible for us to send up to 3 books by parcel post for the same cost of $10.00.
As mentioned in previous posts on this subject, "Completely OK" is a wonderful history of the OK Dinghy over the past 50 years. This publication is a great read for anyone interested in sailing and gives us the opportunity of introducing new members into our class.
The book belongs on the lounge room coffee table for people of all ages so it is a superb gift for all relatives and friends who have a general interest in yachting and your involvement in the great sport of sailing.
Please assist us to get "Completely OK" out into the general sailing community by showing your copy to fellow club members and encouraging them to purchase a copy. Every copy of the book sold will help OKDIA and your Association help you with your future enjoyment of the OK Dinghy class.
